i started out
high up a mountain
overlooking a winding lake in bear,
cougar, deer, raccoon, squirrel,
lizard & chipmunk country ~
trout, blue gill, croppy, & bass
were the prizes of fishing time ~
a boat for trolling & water skiing,
a paddle board, & a sail boat
to live float & swim
in our water culture
of fun ~ family & friends ~
we first got a donkey to roam
the fields & country side ~
joined by our first horse,

who took us everywhere but school
where bicycles served perfectly ~

'When i was 12 years old ~
having read the great books about us Conquer'rs ~
i thought that we should also Conquer Mexico and Canada
because then we would have our own Continent....
my mom said we were republicans
and our Grand parents were republicans
it seemed that they were the owners & bosses
and the democrats were the workers ~
i new i was with the right party
cus i wasn't gonna be a worker....
then some guy recognized
i was peter pan ~
and would fly around nature
till the T~bell stops ring'n ~
i learned lots fly'n & soar'n ~
sitt'n & think'n
wondering about this & that~
listen'n to all kinds of stories
about philosophies + religions +
ways to live in balance with nature's
sacred and natural world order....
A philosophy and religion
aligned with natural laws
so as to stay a relative and family
with all that is natural and sacred ~
factoring the visible
+ invisible forces
of the great creation's universe ~
Each spiritual way is inspired by spirit
makes me think that all religions
were for and are for
the truth in how to get along as family
and not violate each other ~
by being peaceful ~
cooperating with our council's wisdom
'or you are an outcast and
can't live with us any more ~
you must move away from'

as protection for the unity of the
sacred circle that guides our directions
as a people of prayer and gratitude.

i was a cub scout ~ boy scout ~ explorer ~
lettered in football ~ basketball & baseball ~
played tenor sax in the high school band ~
the head cheerleader was my girlfriend ~
i graduated & went to college ~
football ~ basketball & baseball
were my favorite studies ~
so
a couple of years later
a buddy of mine said brilliantly
why don't we join the army
& learn to fly helicopters ~
ya i said bravely
cuz i wanna know first hand
what vietnam is all about ~
i was a patriot
cuz my dad flew bombers over france
and my mom was a marine
working with hospitals ~
i liked president/general
dwight d eisenhaur
& was a republican ~
on the way to nam
i discovered
the army wasn't that honorable
to my high & juste standards =
so i put on the skids about
the gung ho notions of death
by boredom ~ bullets or stupidity ~
after basic training ~ flight school
was an extension of the sham
& twisted arm that rests as the basis
of a military mentality
that thinks neanderthalism
is the proper position
to educate flesh offerings ~
confronting a blank mental wall
with no sense ~ was standard
army diplomatic communications ~
i soloed a few times ~
auto rotated safely to earth
and moved on to boat school
where they sent some of us
with bad attitudes toward their stupidity ~
boat school produced the morse code
which was fun cuz i knew it from scouts
& we created a game out of it ~
then off to vietnam for the education of a life time ~
I'll spare the details for a later chapter a mile long ~
returning to a 60's Amerika i could tell slowly
that i didn't fit into anything going on ~
i hitched around the country ~
checking out how sure i was
that this was true ~
so
i fell in love / got married
and moved to new york city ~
marveled at the city life & grotesqueness ~
worked @ saks 5th ave for a spell
eventually championed at central park's
renaissance sassy parade of music dance & grass
to the fountain area every sunday
for the rhythms ~ fun and spectacle
of it's Happen'n ~
we move back to california to go back to school
start a family and play more football ~
created a biz called the
ugly duckling gallery of art ~
next to the college campus in an old bank
with a vault i never filled ~
had music nites & theatre nites ~
sold a few books & hot apple cider ~
shared in having the most beautiful daughter ~
in the entire world * join in the parade ~
a year later my college career ended abruptly
with a car crash rolling us over three times
ending upside down into a tele pole ~
cops were right there having been
chasing the car that hit us ~
wife had adhesions on the inside
& a compound fracture ~
daughter was really pissed off ~
but not hurt ~
i ruptured my aorta, & tore ligaments
and started over in slow motion ~
went to hawaii for the first time
to recuperate 1973 ~
drove around each island
& fell in love with maui ~
back on turtle island
married days were numbered
western civilization engrossment revealed
a liquor store job which unfolded another
educationally profound opportunity
that well spelled out how much
alcoholic enlightenment
our fellow countrymen & women
pay for daily & yearly ~
after sampling everything in the store
i moved to a vegetarian yoga ashram
in santa barbara where i
went back to film school ~
framed indian trouble got me into video
which started taking me on adventures ~
As a nature exploring peter pan
i flew around and never landed
i was handed a video camera
and guided on adventures ~
All around turtle island's indian country ~
aiming at savoring the ancient philosophy
of the indian american continent ~ as we
demanded human rights in modern times ~
live'n under the thumb of the great conquerors
military rules with genocidal policies
against everybody and everything.
Quite a re-education was forming shape
of the multinational corporations role in
manipulating land and human rights ~
violations against the people.
No Nukes surrounded the Nuclear Giants
informing us all of the possibilities of
radiations relative to nuclear horror
demonstrating that Nukes are totally dangerous
to all of earth and all her family.
We stopped them in California at Diablo Canyon
@ the biggest demonstration ever in America....

The multinational corporations moved to Japan
building more than anybody who remembers
Hiroshima wants to be reminded of.'

for our roll in liberating antiquity ~

making sure all of us are cared for ~

(when we wanted those decorative
moments with civilized appearances)
of a cool world order
fearing not our natural bodies
in the wilderness buff ~
but disguising our bodies in garb
to reckon with the acculturated folks
still biting the bull & working
as a life style doing things
they never would do naturally ~

We re~joined the Sacred Circle
as a natural and ancient way
to live in peace & harmony

finding good values that appear

for families & friends breathing the war dust ~
because someone is in control of our policies
about peace, health, & justice ~
and it looks bad for them

at who they are
and what deceptive tactics
that we can see them using

and constitution
and in front of the entire world
